Jerome Salaya Ang Invites!

I blogged about getting an invite for Jerome Salaya Ang’s show on the 27th the other day. I was hoping my friends and my sister could also get invites because I definitely cannot watch it by myself. I searched everywhere for someone who could give them invites because Ms. Tina Herrera’s list is already closed. Thank God I found Mr. Eldzs Mejia on Twitter!

Thank you so much Ms. Tina Herrera and Mr. Eldzs Mejia for the invites! I can now surely watch the Jerome Salaya Ang show!

You guys have no idea how excited I am right now! I don’t even know what to wear! On a different note, I’m still really frustrated with the Bench invites. I hope krayziemitch will respond to our e-mails soon.

L’Oréal presents Jerome Salaya Ang.

I finally got an invite for a PFW show! It’s for the L’Oréal presents Jerome Salaya Ang show to be held on May 27.

All thanks to Ms. Tina Herrera for the invite! I have a teeny tiny problem though. The invite only admits ONE person. I definitely can’t go to this show by myself! I need a plus one :( I tweeted Ms. Tina asking her if there’s any way I could bring a plus one with me. I hope she’ll say yes!

I was actually hoping for a Veejay Floresca invite but sadly, his deadline was last Wednesday and he can no longer add guests to the list. It was really nice of him to reply to my e-mail though! :)

I’m still waiting for my Michael Cinco for Bench invite. Mr. Cinco retweeted one of my many tweets and said he’ll reserve invites for me. I do hope I’ll get my invite soon! Waiting for it is driving me nuts.

Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012.

PFW Holiday 2012 is starting on the 22nd! I really wanna go! As an aspiring fashion designer, one of my many goals in life is to watch a fashion show. The show that would really love to watch is Michael Cinco and Rajo Laurel’s show for Bench. I loved Michael Cinco’s designs on ANTM’s Cycle 17. I also really want to see Allison Harvard in person! She’s going to model for Michael Cinco.

Anyway, here’s the schedule for the PFW Holiday 2012:

I hope I could get invites for Michael Cinco and Rajo Laurel’s show for Bench. I sent an e-mail to the address Michael Cinco posted on his Twitter. I really do hope I get picked for invites! Wish me luck, please!

Everybody Wants To Be a Cat.

About two weeks ago, I sent my Animaland stuffed cat named Blair to Animaland’s Hospital. It’s not literally a hospital. Animaland’s hospital service is like having them washed, cleaned and repaired if something’s broken. The cleaning service costs Php 500. It’s pretty expensive considering they’re only going to wash the stuffed animal (not including her clothes) but it’s worth it. If I washed Blair by myself here at home, she would’ve looked different. Her fur wouldn’t look the same anymore. I picked her up today at Animaland TriNoma.

She was wearing a hospital gown when I picked her up. She also came with a health certificate.

I love her hospital gown. It looks really cute!

This is what the health certificate says. I don’t know why they wrote Sassy instead of Blair. Perhaps it’s her general name. All of the animal skins at Animaland have their own general names. Sassy’s fine though because I have a real Persian cat named Sassy.

The logo on her hospital gown.

Blair’s ballerina outfit. It was so dirty before. I hand washed it myself. It’s not clean enough, I believe. But I had a really hard time scrubbing it and I soaked it in soap for more than 30 minutes already so I guess that will do. I blow dried the tutu and the leotard because it started raining and I don’t want to wait for it to dry until tomorrow. The shoes are quite hard to dry even with the use of a blow dryer so I’ll just wait.

Blair in her ballerina outfit sans the shoes. She looks cute and pretty again!

Little Ballerina.

The ballerina case I ordered from Cases For Your Gadgets months ago finally arrived! It was supposed to arrive last March but when the seller received the box, my order wasn’t there. She included it on the next batch instead. I really love this case! It reminds me so much of Black Swan. The movie was really creepy but the costumes and the ballet performances are so lovely.

As a compensation for my delayed order, Ms. Chrisma included a free case! I love that it can be used in two different ways. You should also buy your cases at Cases For Your Gadgets. She has a lot of awesome and unique cases available for iPhones, Blackberry phones, Samsung phones and more. She’s also very nice and friendly and she sends updates regularly. I wasn’t worried even though my order got so delayed because of her regular updates. Thank you again, Ms. Chrisma, for these cases! :D

Thoughts About College.

I can’t believe college will start in a few weeks already! I’m really scared and nervous. A lot of people are excited about this because they want to get out of their houses and be independent. I’m the exact opposite. I don’t want to leave my house, I certainly don’t want to depend on myself and I definitely don’t want to become an adult just yet. Can I just be a kid forever, please?

And another thing, I don’t know how to make friends. All my life been I’ve been attending the same small private school with the population of more or less 200 students. It’s the one and only school I’ve ever attended and I have no idea what it’s like to be in a big, new place like UST. I don’t know how it feels like to be the new girl. During the enrollment, I met and became friends with Jane but sadly, we’re not blockmates. I really felt awkward and shy the whole time I was talking to her. The thought of being in a classroom full of strangers is really nerve-wracking for me. I really, really do hope someone will talk to me on my first day. I just really don’t know how to start a conversation.

P.S. If you’re an incoming Advertising Arts freshman whose section is 1AD-4, pretty please send me a message. I’d love to be friends *u*

For a Change.

When I was a kid, I’ve always had shoulder length hair. I didn’t like it. I wanted to grow it out but my mom insisted on keeping it that way because I had a rather small face back then. I only started to grow my hair out when I was in 6th grade. I’ve had medium length hair ever since. But due to my horrible, damaged, dried ends, I finally decided to have my hair cut short again.

I got my haircut and keratin treatment at Tony & Jackey (SM Annex branch). Min is my usual hairstylist. He’s brilliant! If you’d like to get your hair done at Tony & Jackey SM Annex branch, I suggest you look for Min.

Pink and Fluffy.

In an attempt to do something productive this summer, I made a pink and fluffy polka dotted ribbon. I also made a skirt for Serena two weeks ago but I never had the chance to blog about it here. So anyway, here’s the ribbon I made:

I used the extra stuffing from my Lil Luvables Fluffy Factory.

In case you’re wondering what on earth Lil Luvables Fluffy Factory is, it’s a bear making toy where you’ll stuff a bear skin with stuffing, make a wish on one of the paper stars, put it inside the bear and then zip it. It’s like a mini Animaland. I got it for Christmas when I was 10 or 11.

My sister loved the ribbon I made. She wants me to make one for her. Maybe I’ll make another one tomorrow. I’m actually thinking of turning it into a necklace or something.

Sweet Vintage.

I’ve always loved vintage inspired dresses. They can instantly make you look sweet and innocent. Pastel pinks, creams, whites, pearls, ribbons, laces, peter pan collars… who wouldn’t love that?

Let me share with you guys the lovely vintage inspired dresses I spotted at Oasap, an online high street fashion store. I included the links for more details.

Square Neck Bell Sleeve Shirred Dress

This dress reminds me of a dress worn by Blair Waldorf on the pilot episode of Gossip Girl.

Preppy Style Pleated Cake Hem Dress

Crochet Lace Dress with Peter Pan Collar

This one’s my favorite among the three. I love the lace details, the color and especially the peter pan collar!

You know the best thing about Oasap? They also have detachable collars!

Embellished Peter Pan Collar Necklace With Rhinestone Detail

Structured Rose Peter Pan Collar Necklace with Rhinestone Embellishment

Vintage Pearl Embellished Bib Collar Necklace with Flower Edge

So what are you waiting for? Head on to Oasap’s store now (you can click the banner on my sidebar) and take a look at the amazing stuff they offer! :D

OASAP: Women’s High Street Fashion.

These are my favorites from Oasap’s store. My personal style is a bit girly but I also have a love for edgy pieces like leopard prints and everything black.

You should definitely pay Oasap’s website a visit and check out the stylish stuff they offer! Plus, you’ll get a 20% coupon if you sign-up now! :D

Dream of Doll: Leya.

This is another BJD that I really love. She’s D.O.C. Leya. I love her face-up, eye and clothes but I am not a fan of her wig. Like D.O.C. Pitts, she’s also $283 sans the clothes. I should really starting saving money if I want one of these dolls.

Dream of Doll: Tahlia.

This is D.O.T Tahlia, another BJD that I really love. She reminds me of Suigintou from Rozen Maiden and of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. She’s $520 (so expensive!) for the full set, with additional costs for the face-up and the shoes. I know I’m not going to be able to afford her anytime soon so I’m just gonna look at her photos and admire her.

I suddenly realized something. DOD dolls are cheaper than eLuts dolls.

Dream of Doll: Pitts.

For some reason, I am most active at around 2 o’clock in the morning. It’s like everything I want to do for the day would hit me at this hour. It’s not healthy, I tell you. It’s giving me dark, unimaginable eye bags. I should fix my body clock soon. Anyway, that is certainly not the point of this post.

Like what I usually do at this hour, I look at dolls. I decided to visit Manika Manila’s website out of extreme boredom. I’ve heard of that site way back in 2010, the time I got my first Pullip. I checked out the list of reliable BJD sites for I have forgotten most of them (I only remember eluts.com).

I went to Dream of Doll’s website. The D.O.C doll, Pitts, was the first one that caught my attention.

Isn’t she lovely? *u* I love everything about her. She’s quite cheap because she’s only 41cm tall. Not that I could afford $283. It’s still expensive but waaay cheaper than the taller BJDs. Her outfit’s not even included in that price. For $283, you’ll only get a nude doll with random colored eyes and a randomly selected wig. If you want clothes, a different type of body, face-ups and a different wig, you’ll have to pay extra.

I really want her. Collecting dolls is the main reason why I desperately want to earn money these days. If I didn’t spend my savings on MH dolls, vintage notebooks and Lunatic Queen, I could probably afford her by August. Like what my dad said, parang galit daw ako sa pera (Translation: It’s like I hate money) because the moment I have enough to buy something I like even if I know I want something better, I spend it immediately. It’s a bad habit of mine that will probably  never change.

Summerboy.

Don’t mind the title, it’s just a Lady Gaga song. I couldn’t get the song out of my mind while thinking of a title for this post.

My original agenda for the day was supposed to be to go for a swim at 8 Waves with my friends (Hi Precious, Myrcel and Edcel!) but they bailed the night before… So my mom thought of going to Subic instead with Yannah and Rosie. We went to Camayan Beach Resort. It was a nice place! It was big and best of all, it was clean. I really hate dirty beaches! The only thing I didn’t like was the open showers and the random monkeys walking and jumping around the cottages. It was creepy, I tell you. Creepy!

Tank top (worn underneath): Kamiseta | Floral tank: Forever 21 | Acid wash shorts: Forever 21 | Smitten cuff: The Bead Shop | Bead bracelet: Fully Booked

I really love this top! It’s breezy and the print is just so cute! I also really love the shorts I’m wearing. I rarely buy shorts (I only have three) but this one’s too pretty, I couldn’t resist! I actually came back to the rack where it was placed three times before finally deciding to buy it.
