Prom is something every high school student looks forward to. I consider myself an exception because I’ve never been excited about proms probably because I’ve been attending one since my Freshman year. Because our school has a very small population (with 65 high school students from our branch and about 50, I presume, from the Malolos branch), they hold a High School Night instead of the usual Junior Senior Prom. If they wouldn’t include the Freshmen and the Sophomores, there would only be about 50 students and that would be very pointless.

The only thing I love about prom is the shoe and purse shopping, having a custom made dress and getting all dolled up. In other words, I just like the idea of dressing up.

My only accessories were a pair of earrings (which you cannot see because of my hair) and a bracelet. I skipped wearing a necklace because my dress already has a lot of beads. It would be too much if I would still add a necklace. I was planning on wearing a huge ring but I failed to find the perfect one. It’s ironic because when I’m not looking for one, I see so many of them at the mall but when I was intending on buying one, I couldn’t find anything.

I was originally planning on wearing a pale/pastel pink dress but then I found out we’re required to wear something purple/violet with silver. I chose one in a lilac shade because I’m currently into pastels. Oh and did I mention how much I love these heels? The heels are about 5 inches tall, according to the tape measure and yet I was able to dance, walk around and wear them for about 7 hours without feeling any pain. Barbie by Shubizz is officially my favorite shoe brand!

This dress was originally a tube dress but I was afraid that it might fall during our cotillion so I asked the seamstress to add thin straps.

Oh and I won as Ms. Senior! I honestly didn’t care about the title, I just wanted the sash and the bouquet of flowers because I failed to get myself one during Valentine’s day :D
